Civil war expert Dr. Corinna Jentzsch has been a member of the Institute of Political Science since 2014. She earned her B.A. at the Freie Universität Berlin and her M.A. and Ph.D. at Yale University. Her research on the role of militias in civil wars has been published in the Journal of Conflict Resolution and the African Conflict & Peacebuilding Review. She teaches on civil wars, international security, and international relations theory.
In 2016, Dr. Jentzsch received an NWO Veni grant for a 3-year research project on the conditions of collaboration between militias and state forces and its consequences for safety and political order.
